Paragon of Beastmaster excellence

After a lot of training as a Beastmaster I was ready to endure the Artifact armor quests for Beastmaster. I was sent to Fei'yin and put the souls to rest of all the animals that fought in the crystal war. Jeangallo, Houzukimaru and Bermont helped me on the quest. It turned out the animals weren't too happy and a ghost attacked us. We took it down with no problems. A spirit of Galka Beastmaster talked to me about the how he lost his animal in the war and how sad he was about it. Then I had to look for a beast collar and to give to a monkey walking around in castle Oztroja. For all that I was rewarded with the beast boots.

The beast hands were crafted by the spirit of a crafter from the crystal war era. He told me I was to find a pair of old gauntlets, which I found in the crawlers nest. Then he told me to bring him ancient flames from Castle Zvahl. When I was about to get the flames a bomb attacks us but it was a very easy to defeat. After completing this quest the spirit told me there were other pieces of my beast armor in treasure coffers around the world. A couple of days later I had to go look for coffers to get my body and head pieces. I went to Beadeaux where my body piece was, I found the coffer but the quadav there were not to happy to see me get the treasure coffer there, I woke up in port Windurst but had the Beast surcoat still in my hands.

My next task was to go to the Eldieme Necropolis and use the tamers whistle near one of the tombs there. Roninhiroishi, Kyrek, Squeegie, Nephelim and Sachiel helped me on this quest. I started playing the tamers shistle and the eerie sound it produced send chills through my spine and before I knew and was ready for it a hound appeared with two tiger beasts. I ran out of there to where the others were and exited the necropolis in hope that the two beasts gave up and we only had to fight the hound, but it didn't worked like I was plaining. Good thing it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be and we defeated it with no problems. Then the Galka Beastmaster appeared talking about taking over the world, I figured he was talking gibberish and was because of how much he missed his pet. I played the tamers whistle again and this time the little monkey I gave the collar appeared. This made the Galka stop after seeing his long time friend, master and beast reunited and ready to move on to the afterlife. For all that my reward was the beast trousers. My helm was deep in the Garliage Citadel and it was a very easy to find my coffer there. Now I have all the pieces, the only problem is that I can't use this great armor for now... my mannequin looks good on it though.

Barbaroi and some other stuff

I love the Beastmaster job and I've been getting stronger and stronger very fast. One day I was in upper Jeuno and Brutus the chocobo caretaker there told me one of his chocobos died. He told me he wanted to give a proper send off to the chocobo with a guiding bell that could be found at the Delkfutt tower. I had the great idea of going as a Thief but with as little clothing as possible and with some thief tools to open the treasure chest. After what felt like hours looking for the chest I finally found it, I kneel to open it and a trap triggers weakening me. I decide since I can't open the chest again in that state I should take a nap and rapidly felt asleep on the spot. Some strange sounds of what it sounded like a giggling goblin startle me and I snapped out of my sleep only to find a goblin bomb to my side. I didn't had time to react and the next thing I remembered was opening my eyes and getting out of the infirmary. I went back with the intent to get even with the little goblin but didn't found it, I found the treasure chest instead with no traps this time. I gave the bell to Brutus and he rewarded me with the Barbaroi axe, which is a great axe for Beastmaster.
Speaking of axes, Omael needed help fighting the Aquarius crab notorious monster for a very good axe. We took down the monster with only a couple of knockdowns and Omael got his axe. It's such a good axe that I think I'll get it for myself someday.

I tried Salvage too and I think is a fun thing to do with great organization. I hope I can do it again sometime.

Last but not least I helped Houzukimaru with a couple of Zilar missions fights so he can get sky access at last. After that it was back to Beastmaster for me.

Fist of fury

Recently I took on the challenge to kill three notorious monsters to be worthy of a brown belt for my Monk job. Had to kill Deadly Dodo for its skin, didn't took too much time there even with some competition. Next I stood for days waiting for Molborger to appear for it's vine when it appeared Krile stunned it and we killed it. We had a competition there but we got lucky with it.
Nue for the Nue fang wasn't much of a problem because of the remote location. Killed it no problem and got my brown belt at last. That and getting the Ochimusha kotes made me a very happy Galka Monk. Can't wait to punch stuff in the face with all this nice equipment.

The silence of the rams

As much as I love the Thief job I have always wanted to train as a Monk. People that knew me on my last incarnation told me I trained the job and that I loved it. So that inspired me to get on the job and have fun.... but not yet. For now I'm in the process of gathering gear and be ready ahead of time. One of the things I'll need is a brown belt, but for that I will need to do a quest for a purple belt so they see I'm worthy of taking the other quest for the brown one. The quest was to kill to big rams that roams the highlands and the plateau and get the horns. Rampaging Ram wasn't so hard to find.Lumbering Lambert took me a while to find but managed to do so. Now to do the other belt quest which I hear it's a pain to do.

Learning Savage Blade

Word on my swordsmanship have reached far that I received and invitation to the Kingdom of San d'Oria. Curilla of the Temple Knights heard about my adventures and decided I was worthy of a new technique. She said to me: "Adventurer Coldwind, your reputation precedes you. Word is that you have done great things lately and you seem like and honorable person, for that we think that you are worthy to train on an ancient sword technique. First take this enchanted sword and use it when you are adventuring, the special enchantment will tell us if you are ready for the next task." I took the sword with great determination and trained day and night, fighting beastmen and dragons to prove that I was ready.
Went back to Curilla after weeks of all that adventuring and gave her the enchanted sword. She knew right away that I met the requirements and gave me a second task right away. I was to recover the map of the annals of truth hidden somewhere at the Quicksand Caves. I found Jeangallo there that was doing the same thing as I and decided to team up and finish with all this together. We knew this task wasn't going to be easy so we ask for help from the Linkshell. We went deep into the caves and managed to find the area where the map was hidden, when I was going to pick up the map we felt a rumble in the cave. The sand began shifting and from underneath a scorpion came and attacked us. But we didn't panic and did a great job defeating it.Jeangallo and I went back to Curilla and gave her the map. She rewarded us with an old piece of parchment, told us to study what was written inside.Took me a while to read that and understand it all but soon I was doing the attack on poor spiders at the desert with Jeangallo. Thanks to everyone that helped me on doing this quest, I'm having a ton of fun jumping and slashing when I do Savage Blade.

All by myself

Roccoj our static Whitemage has been very busy because of the holiday so our static is on hold at the moment. That doesn't mean I've done nothing, between harvesting, killing jellys and questing must do anything to keep me occupied. On my quest for Bastok fame I took a request from Marin to watch over her little brother while he does an exam in Dangruf Wadi. I said to myself "How hard can it be" and accepted.
Turns out this Ken guy is a brat, doesn't want any help at all, goes on a wild rampage killing everything insight and when I go sneaking up curing him behind his back and he see me everytime. Frustration level rising with each attempt over and over till !!! my galka brain suggest maybe if you clear the zone so there are no monsters he wont gets distracted from his mission you'll have better chances on finishing this.
I gather the mob in a single spot and do a Cyclone and the bodies start piling up and it helped a little, but as you expected monsters keep coming and messing with my mission I had to ask for help on this. Called a Samurai (you should know who by now) and made him clear the zone ahead of time. After a couple of hours I was able to watch Ken do his exam safely I talk to his sister to get my reward and after all the ordeal I get the wonderful reward of 1500gil. Huh!? I should have slap her right there but I did it mainly to get it over with and some fame, my advice stay clear of Marin and Ken.
